VALLEJO, Calif. (ASN NEWS USA)—

The Bay Area boys are back. SOB X RBE — the Vallejo trio of Yhung T.O., DaBoii and Slimmy B — dropped their new single “Someone” on Friday, the latest taste of their first album in seven years.

From The Land arrives November 6 on EMPIRE/SOB X RBE with 13 tracks, following 2019’s Strictly Only Brothers. The group broke up in 2019, and July’s “Ten Summers” marked their first song together in seven years — a comeback that has Bay Area fans locked in.

“Time gave us the chance to grow up, become fathers and understand what really matters. We never stopped being brothers,” the trio told Stereogum.

“Someone” keeps the chemistry that made them stars intact — the three trading bars and melodies over a smooth, laid-back cut that still packs a punch. Producers B’Lon, Yvnng Ecko and Miiir handle the boards.

SOB X RBE broke out as teenagers with records like “Anti” and “Different,” and their “Paramedic!” landed on the Kendrick Lamar-executive-produced Black Panther soundtrack. Now they’re doing it on their own terms — independence, ownership of their masters, and nearly 80 new songs recorded on the way to the album, by their own telling.

The trio hits the road this fall with tour dates across California and Reno, Nevada, including stops in Ventura, Santa Ana, San Diego, San Jose and Sacramento.

The Land is back, and the culture is watching. Stay tuned to ASN News USA for updates on this developing story.
