ASN NEWS USA — SPECIAL REPORT

DETROIT (ASN NEWS USA)— Thanksgiving in Detroit just got a whole lot louder. The Wu-Tang Clan will headline the halftime show at Ford Field when the Detroit Lions host the Chicago Bears on Thursday, November 26, and the show will be produced by Eminem and his longtime manager Paul Rosenberg.
The Lions announced the booking on Sunday. The game kicks off at 1 p.m. ET and airs on CBS, with the halftime performance expected around 2 p.m. Michigan native Antonio Cipriano is set to sing the national anthem.
A homecoming with history behind it
This is the second straight year Eminem and Rosenberg have produced the Lions’ Thanksgiving halftime show under a two-year deal struck last November. Last year, Detroit native Jack White headlined, with Eminem making a surprise appearance. Before that deal, Ford Field’s Thanksgiving stage hosted Shaboozey, Jack Harlow, Big Sean, and others.
Wu-Tang arrives with plenty to celebrate. The Staten Island collective — RZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, GZA, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, U-God, and Cappadonna — is part of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026, with the induction ceremony set for November 14, just 12 days before Thanksgiving.
Why it matters
Put plainly: one of hip-hop’s most enduring groups, on one of football’s biggest regular-season stages, in a city that helped build Black music, against Chicago’s team. That is not just a halftime show. That is culture meeting the game at full volume — and Detroit, once again, setting the table for Thanksgiving.
