FORT DIX, NEW JERSEY (ASN NEWS USA)— Sean “Diddy” Combs will be waiting a little longer for his walk out of federal prison.
U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate records show the Bad Boy Records founder’s release date has moved again — from January 21, 2028 to March 2, 2028. That’s two more months behind the walls of FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey, where Combs is serving a 50-month sentence after a jury convicted him in July 2025 of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
His release date has been a moving target since day one. It was first set for May 2028, then moved up to January 2028, now pushed to March 2028. The Bureau of Prisons doesn’t discuss individual cases, but says release dates generally shift over conduct, time credits from approved programs, or credit for time served before sentencing.
The shift comes days after an NBC News report described Combs’ “pampered” life behind bars — fellow inmates cooking and cleaning for him, massages, even contraband alcohol and a cellphone. His representative, Juda Engelmayer, fired back, calling it the media treating “ordinary prison life as news.”
One thing’s for certain: the countdown clock to Diddy’s freedom keeps getting reset.
