NEW YORK (ASN NEWS USA) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a fiery address to the United Nations General Assembly on Thursday, taking the stage as dozens of diplomats walked out in protest of Israel’s war in Gaza and its strikes on Iran.

“If there are any other moral cowards who haven’t yet left this hall, please do so now,” Netanyahu said as delegates from Iran, the Palestinian Authority, Qatar and other nations filed out of the chamber.

The prime minister denied that Israel committed genocide in Gaza, calling the accusation “the biggest lie of the century.” He said Israel was fighting a “seven-front war” and would prevail, invoking the words of his late brother Yoni Netanyahu: “We’re going to win. We have no other choice.”

Netanyahu also lashed out at New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, who did not attend the speech, accusing him of refusing to condemn Hamas. Outside the United Nations, hundreds of protesters filled the streets of midtown Manhattan. Police arrested dozens of demonstrators, including actresses Susan Sarandon and Hannah Einbinder, whistleblower Chelsea Manning and actor Elliot Page, according to rally organizers.

It was one of the most hostile receptions an Israeli leader has faced at the United Nations, and it came days after the Iranian and Cuban delegations walked out during President Trump’s own General Assembly address.
