ASN NEWS USA — SPECIAL REPORT

DALLAS (ASN NEWS USA)— New Music Friday delivered a full slate today, and Dallas heavyweight BigXthaPlug leads the pack. His fourth studio album, “Better Over Time,” arrived Friday, October 30, through 600 Entertainment and UnitedMasters — an 18-track return to straight rap after last year’s country-leaning detour.

The project follows 2025’s “I Hope You’re Happy,” which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and expanded his audience far beyond traditional hip-hop. This time, there are no country features. Instead, BigX called on a starry guest list: GloRilla, Lil Yachty, Babyface Ray, Leon Thomas, Ava Max, Fridayy, Loe Shimmy, Ro$ama, and Belly Gang Kushington.

Early standouts include “LITE” with Belly Gang Kushington, “BURN” with Ava Max, “BELIEVE” with Babyface Ray and Lil Yachty, and “FAF” with GloRilla. Before release day, BigX previewed the album for hometown fans at a private Dallas listening event and short-film screening on October 26, part of a multi-city rollout through Charlotte, Houston, Miami, and Los Angeles.

He is not the only voice on today’s playlist. Sampa the Great dropped her third album, “Nu Zamrock,” rooted in Zambian rock, while Dominic Fike released his tour-recorded “How to Quit Smoking” and Young Nudy added another Atlanta trap tape.

The culture is moving, and Friday proves it: Dallas trap, Zambian rock-rap, tour-diary indie, and Atlanta street music all sharing one release date. Press play and pick your favorite.
